Details.
Laser eye surgery that uses a precision Excimer laser to reshape the cornea. The epithelial layer, or outer skin of the cornea, is gently brushed away before treatment and grows back over the following days. A bandage contact lens is placed after treatment. Excellent vision is expected within a month, although most patients can drive and return to work within a week. The procedure corrects refractive errors and can reduce or eliminate the need for glasses or contact lenses.
