Psychologist / Clinical Psychologist

at Luma Room · Melbourne

Details.

Join Luma Room, a warm, non-judgemental and collaborative relationship therapy practice in Brunswick. As an independent clinician, you will provide ongoing relationship therapy to couples+, with some individual sessions at times, through 50-minute sessions or longer therapy intensives. Responsibilities include assessing relational dynamics and risk, building rapport, developing collaborative formulations, using psychometric measures where appropriate, delivering client-centred and evidence-based treatment, managing risk, making referrals, maintaining clinical case notes, communicating with other care providers with client consent, writing reports and support letters, responding to client and care team emails, and liaising with practice colleagues. The role offers flexible hours and autonomy over your caseload, peer supervision, training opportunities, ad hoc debriefing, administration support, potential research involvement, remote telehealth options, and a focus on clinician wellbeing. Applicants should have current AHPRA registration as a psychologist, relevant tertiary education, relationship or couples clinical experience, an evidence-based and trauma-informed approach, strong communication skills, the ability to work independently and in a team, and a warm, curious and collaborative therapeutic style. Training in areas such as Gottman, schema therapy for couples, emotion focused therapy, sex therapy, CBCT or IFS for couples is relevant. Availability for after-hours or weekend work is beneficial but not essential.
