Lead after-school programs for students ages 5 to 14 in hands-on STEM crafts, material engineering, Scratch coding, robotics, Minecraft, and Tinkercad. Responsibilities include creating project lessons and instructional videos, liaising with school directors, parents, and staff, traveling throughout NYC, and maintaining professional communications and records. Experience teaching children ages 5 to 14 and expertise or passion in a STEM or STEAM field are required. Programs generally run Monday through Friday between 2:30 and 6:00pm, and the position can renew each semester pending performance and school contracts. Fingerprinting, a background check, and training are generally required, with the background check paid for by the organization.
