The Visitor Experience Manager oversees the Museum's front-of-house, retail, and visitor-facing operations, including admissions, visitor flow, store activity, merchandising, cash handling, financial controls, security protocols, staffing, scheduling, training, and team performance. The role supervises Visitor Experience Associates and on-call staff, manages department-level budgets and operational reporting, supports programs and events, and ensures a welcoming, organized, safe, and mission-aligned visitor experience. Applicants should have four or more years of professional experience in retail, bookstore operations, or hospitality, direct experience supervising a team of five or more, and experience with ordering, inventory management, merchandising, point-of-sale systems, and departmental budgets. Experience with museums, cultural institutions, arts nonprofits, e-commerce platforms, access control, or emergency response is a plus or may be learned through training. Strong organizational, communication, leadership, computer, policy enforcement, and cultural competence skills are required.
