Join Pillar VC's Boston-based team and work directly with Partners Thomas de Vlaam and Tony Kulesa across the full investing lifecycle, from sourcing breakthrough science and conducting diligence to supporting portfolio founders as they move from lab to commercial reality. Responsibilities include reviewing human health investment opportunities, conducting market research and scientific landscape reviews, engaging customers and domain experts, cultivating relationships with academic and medical institutions, supporting founders with access to health systems and industry partners, coordinating programming and events, leading special projects, and supporting partner branding and marketing initiatives. Pillar seeks a self-starting, ambitious, creative, exceptionally clear writer who is relationship-oriented, intellectually curious about biology, medicine, and breakthrough science, comfortable learning unfamiliar scientific areas, detail-oriented, analytical, and able to thrive in ambiguity. Experience in a tech company, biotech, health system, or research environment is valued, and a biology background is a plus but not required.
