Based in the Downtown Vancouver office, this role carries out standard commercial duties for cost management and loan monitoring works. Cost management projects cover post-secondary, K-12, aviation, commercial, gaming, institutional and recreational sectors from concept stage to pre-tender stage. The role also involves loan monitoring on multi-unit residential, high rise and mixed use projects. Responsibilities include quantity takeoffs for architectural, structural, civil and landscaping works using On Screen Takeoff software, coordinating with specialist mechanical and electrical quantity surveyors, communicating with project stakeholders and design teams, preparing cost plan reports using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Adobe software, and managing, coordinating, analysing and generating Budget Review Reports and Progress Draw Reports. Applicants should have a PQS and/or MRICS designation, 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar Quantity Surveyor or Estimator position, proficiency with On Screen Takeoff, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Adobe software, and a personable, engaging and collaborative approach. Local BC experience is preferred. The position offers a salary of $100,000 to $125,000 depending on qualifications and experience, a bonus scheme, generous vacation allowance, medical, vision and dental benefits, and paid professional association dues.
