A 532nm Q-Switch Nd:YAG laser treatment used to treat superficial sun damage and age spots, and lighten dark skin patches. Suitable treatment areas include the face, neck, décolletage and hands. The laser can only be used on certain skin types and must be combined with a medical grade skincare regime. The procedure takes 15 minutes. Treated spots may feel warm for about an hour, temporarily darken and crust before falling off over 5 to 7 days. Slight welts may be apparent for 24 hours, and makeup can cover the dark spots. Results are seen one week after treatment, with 2 to 4 treatments spaced one month apart potentially required for optimal results.
