Minimally invasive keyhole removal of a uterine or endometrial polyp without external incisions. A hysteroscope is passed through the cervix into the uterus, and specialised instruments are used to shave or cut the polyp away from the uterine wall. Usually performed as a day-case procedure under a short general anaesthetic, with the removed tissue sent for laboratory analysis. Mild cramping and light spotting may occur for a few days. Take it easy for a day or two and avoid strenuous activity, intercourse and swimming for about two weeks.
