Provide religious activities and support, spiritual and pastoral care, welfare, liaison and advocacy at the Loddon Prison Precinct in Middleton. Duties include conducting prayer and liturgical services, assisting with ecumenical and interfaith services, supporting prisoners with personal problems and adapting to the prison environment, and liaising between prisoners and their families. The role may also support prisoners' families and friends and provide pastoral care to prison staff. Applicants require a satisfactory qualification in theology, pastoral ministry or religious education from a tertiary or adult education institution, with units in Scripture, Christian Faith, Pastoral Theology and Sacramental Life. The successful applicant must have the right to work in Australia, undergo a satisfactory National Police Check and hold a current employee Working with Children Check.
