Join a small, multi-disciplinary architecture and interior design practice in Surry Hills. The role covers design, documentation, specification, construction input, project planning, project management, budget management, invoicing, administration, and potentially marketing and social media. Duties include client meetings and presentations, concept and spatial design, ArchiCad 2D and 3D drawings, drafting plans and details, furniture and joinery design, lighting and electrical layouts, selecting and specifying finishes, fixtures, fittings and appliances, construction advice and site visits, project and budget management, product research, and shared administration. Essential qualifications include a Bachelor of Interior Design, Bachelor of Interior Architecture, Advanced Diploma of Interior Design, or Diploma in Interior Design and Decoration. Essential experience includes one year working in an interior design studio or two years in a customer service role, proficient computer skills, CAD drafting experience, and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. The successful applicant will be client focused, collaborative, self-directed, enthusiastic, detail focused and willing to work closely with architects. Ongoing training and support are provided.
