Arete The Art of Design is seeking a Social Media Intern to create and maintain a strong online presence. Responsibilities include researching audience preferences and current trends, creating text, image and video content, designing social media posts, measuring web traffic, monitoring monthly SEO reports, facilitating online conversations with customers, developing posting schedules, overseeing social media account layouts, and suggesting ways to attract prospective customers. The role includes assisting the in-house photographer with content capture and website gallery photography, as well as filming and basic editing of video from an iPhone or Android device. Candidates should have expertise in multiple social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest, be able to deliver creative text, photography, and video content, understand online marketing strategies, communicate effectively, and demonstrate multitasking and analytical skills. Requirements include having a vehicle and valid driver's license, spending 25 to 50 percent of the time in the field collecting content, prior experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, and Lightroom, and willingness to undergo background screening. This is a 90-day unpaid internship that may turn into full-time paid employment for the right candidate. Internship days and hours are set by the candidate.
