Western acupuncture delivered by a qualified physiotherapist. Before treatment, the physiotherapist will ask questions to assess suitability and obtain consent. The treatment uses very fine, single-use, pre-sterilised needles to stimulate specific acupuncture points. Acupuncture may be used alone but is generally combined with other appropriate treatment modalities. If you are new to acupuncture, extra time can be allowed to explain the process. Eat something beforehand if you know you are having an acupuncture session.
