Candor is seeking shopkeepers for its community-centered specialty shop. Responsibilities include greeting customers, building neighborhood relationships, guiding guests through the bulk candy experience, recommending products, restocking bulk bins and packaged goods, fulfilling pickup and delivery orders, preparing simple seasonal drinks, assisting with inventory and deliveries, maintaining cleanliness and food safety, supporting catering and specialty orders, completing opening and closing procedures, processing register transactions, handling cash, and addressing returns and customer concerns. Candidates should have a high school diploma, 1+ years of retail or hospitality experience, strong attention to detail, a calm presence during high-volume periods, weekend availability, and flexibility during peak seasons. Food safety certification and Square Register experience are a plus. The role requires a consistent weekly schedule of at least 2 weekday nights plus 2 weekend nights, with PM shifts from 4:30 PM to 10:30 PM and AM shifts from 10:30 AM to 5 PM. Full-time schedules are 5 to 7 shifts per week, 30 to 40+ hours, and part-time schedules are 4 to 5 shifts per week, 24 to 30 hours. The role requires extended standing, step ladder use, and lifting up to 30 pounds. Compensation is $20+ per hour depending on experience, with an opportunity to move into a Nights + Weekends Lead/Manager title and adjusted compensation after a 60-day introductory period.
