Coinme is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to report to the Engineering Manager and build software and integrations for accepting, disseminating, and liquidating fiat and crypto funds. Responsibilities include designing solutions for complex technical and business problems, developing scalable software systems and components, writing performant and maintainable code, authoring unit and integration tests, participating in Scrum planning, driving engineering excellence, operational stability, and security, contributing to architecture discussions, collaborating with cross functional stakeholders, mentoring engineers, and supporting recruiting. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience, 5+ years of software development experience, experience building scalable services and distributed systems in Java or a similar object-oriented language, and experience with technical design, Agile development, and communicating technical requirements and designs. Required technology skills include Java, Spring Boot, microservices, Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ or similar technology, RESTful APIs, MySQL, and Kubernetes or cloud development platforms. Experience with financial services, CQRS, Event Sourcing, event-driven design, webhooks, server-sent events, WebSockets, Axon Framework, MongoDB, and AWS is advantageous. This is a full-time, fully remote position for candidates residing in Croatia, with possible periodic travel.
