A semester-based, 16-week internship providing students with hands-on experience supporting patients, community programs, and nonprofit operations. Interns assist with patient communication, intake form review, chart preparation, non-clinical documentation, provider communications, supply restocking, device inventory, community partnerships, advocacy contacts, administrative functions, educational materials, patient feedback surveys, and outreach campaigns. Qualifications include strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks, an interest in low vision, nonprofit operations, or healthcare advocacy, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. The internship is 20 hours per week, hybrid, with Mondays preferred in person, Wednesdays required in person, and a half day of remote work on a chosen day. The anticipated start is at the end of February, with possible extension.
