A four-month research fellowship, or part-time equivalent, for early career researchers to explore the British Library's European collections and produce scholarly or creative outputs. The inaugural fellowship focuses on French-language collections, with research themes including Revolutions, Word and Image, and Movement of people and ideas. Includes an £8000 bursary, up to £2000 additional travel funding, a staff pass, laptop and desk space in the European Studies office, plus access to Library workshops, talks, training and expertise. Open to researchers within 10 years of completing their PhD who are resident in the UK. Fellows are expected to be resident in London for most of the award period, present their work at an internal staff talk and submit a 1000-word written report.
