Songbird Studios is seeking experienced singing teachers and vocal coaches for its Marin studio, with additional studios in Nob Hill, Noe Valley, and the Inner Sunset. The role includes coaching individual lessons using standard vocal exercises and techniques, supporting student confidence, assisting with performance showcases, workshops, and open mics, attending training and continuing education sessions, and working collaboratively with the vocal coaching team. Candidates should have at least one year of one-on-one voice teaching experience, music or singing experience with completion of a music certificate, degree, or training program, an understanding of vocal tract physiology, vocal styling, improvisation, and music theory, basic piano skills, and the ability to sing comfortably in front of others. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, energetic, reliable, flexible, able to maintain a consistent weekly schedule, and comfortable working with children, teenagers, and adults. Songbird Studios offers $40 to $60 per hour based on experience, annual performance and experience-based pay increases, paid time off, healthcare options, retirement matching, continued education, and payment for cancelled, rescheduled, or no-show lessons.
