Details.
Laser eye surgery that uses a precision Excimer laser to reshape the cornea after the epithelial layer has been gently brushed away. A bandage contact lens is placed on the eye while the epithelium grows back, usually within three days. Excellent vision is expected within a month, although most patients can drive and return to work in a week. The total procedure takes 15 to 20 minutes for both eyes, although the laser treatment itself lasts only seconds.
