Details.
A CPSO mediation process for eligible complaints involving a doctor. A mediator contacts you and notifies the doctor, confirms whether you both agree to proceed, and works with you and the doctor to try to resolve the complaint without an investigation. Resolutions may include practice changes or improvements, education, discussions with CPSO medical advisors, or an apology. You can change your mind at any time and proceed with a formal investigation. If no resolution is reached within 120 days, CPSO will investigate the complaint and submit it to the appropriate committee for a decision.
