A quick test performed on all ages as a standard component of a routine assessment. It measures middle ear function by gently pushing air into the ear and assesses how well the eardrum is moving. The test can provide information about otitis media or glue ear, ventilation tubes or grommets, eustachian tube blockage, eardrum perforations and other middle ear abnormalities.
