Work in the office and field in NSW national parks, leading projects, engaging with visitors and stakeholders, conducting environmental assessments and enforcing regulations. Responsibilities include managing threatened wildlife and cultural heritage projects, controlling weeds and feral animals, frontline firefighting and fire management planning, managing visitor access, maintaining park facilities, preparing environmental assessments, conducting natural resource surveys and enforcing park regulations. Applicants need a relevant degree or tertiary qualification, knowledge of natural and cultural heritage conservation and law enforcement issues, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. This physically active role requires working outdoors as part of a team, passing a firefighter medical check and completing a moderate task-based fitness test during the first 12 months and annually thereafter.
