In February 2025, cutting a reinforced concrete slab costs approximately CHF 155 per square metre for a thickness of 150 to 200 mm. A 7 x 1.5 x 0.2 m slab costs CHF 527, while new in-situ concrete production costs CHF 630 per slab. Reuse is therefore 16% cheaper than new production, and this saving can increase to 40% through industrialisation.
