Telemed evaluations for mental status evaluations for Social Security Disability are available with approval through the State of Illinois. Claimants must be at least 18 years old, use a smartphone or an internet-connected computer, laptop, or iPad, and provide a valid email address. Instructions are sent before the evaluation, and appointments must be confirmed 48 hours in advance. At the evaluation time, the claimant must be in Illinois and in a private location. Sessions use the Doxy.me platform, and no app download is required.
