Lockonego has an immediate vacancy for an exceptional Apprentice Hairdresser in London SW10 0LN. The 18 to 24 month apprenticeship includes an initial 12 week traineeship and leads towards the Diploma for Hair Professionals, Hairdressing, Level 2 Apprenticeship standard, with the opportunity to progress to the Senior Hair Professional Standard, Hairdressing, Level 3 Apprenticeship. No previous experience or GCSEs are required, but applicants should be passionate about succeeding in the creative industry, well presented, reliable and positive team players. Duties include meeting and greeting clients, shampooing and conditioning hair, maintaining a clean salon, providing refreshments, reception duties, preparing clients for stylists, and potentially styling hair and applying tint and colour as skills develop. Training covers shampooing and conditioning, cutting, tinting, styling, setting and dressing hair, plus reception duties. Skills are assessed on paying clients in the academy or salon. The competitive wage is £17,056.00 whilst training.
