A doctor will discuss the test with you, and a gynaecological examination may be performed. The test involves small tubes inserted into the bladder and rectum, filling the bladder with fluid, and monitoring bladder function using specialist equipment including ultrasound. Results are interpreted and a report is sent to your doctor within 2 weeks. Please allow 1 to 2 hours, empty your bladder approximately 90 minutes before the appointment, and eat and drink normally.
