Volunteer in your local community through the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme, a government-funded program providing friendship and companionship for people who are isolated or at risk of social isolation or loneliness. Volunteers are people of all ages and backgrounds who are committed to developing and sustaining meaningful community relationships. Training and development opportunities are provided, and volunteers are supported to reach their potential. Volunteers will undergo background checks and must commit to visiting their companion at least once a week. Visits may include chatting, playing games, listening to music or singing.
