Casual fixed-term teaching role for someone with experience in drama, speech and drama, acting or performing arts. Teach between 8 and 22 hours per week at venues across Melbourne, generally in 4.00pm to 8.15pm weeknight blocks and 9.00am to 3.30pm Saturday blocks. The role involves teaching at the same venue each week during school term and is suitable for applicants who can commit for at least 12 months. Applicants should have a strong teaching or performing arts background, relate well to children and parents, have excellent verbal communication skills, some teaching experience or a natural aptitude, availability outside school hours, experience teaching children aged 6 to 14, and either VIT registration or a Working With Children Check card. A reliable car and mobile phone are required, along with participation in paid training sessions twice a year.
