Referral reasons listed include family history of stomach cancer, unexplained iron deficiency or anaemia, coeliac disease screening, dyspepsia or reflux, dysphagia or odynophagia, unexplained abdominal pain and weight loss, persistent vomiting and weight loss, duodenal biopsy following positive serology in suspected coeliac disease, and screening or surveillance of Barrett’s oesophagus and gastric intestinal metaplasia.
