Details.
Cognitive-behavioral therapy and biofeedback can help reduce chronic pain, improve adaptive coping skills, activity levels and social function, and decrease pain, physical limitations, depression and anxiety. Goals include improving concentration, memory, motivation, physical strength and conditioning, stress management, healthy activity, coping skills and symptoms such as physical tension, while slowly reducing reliance on pain medications. Patients are seen only after the Center for Pain Management receives an official physician referral from a primary care doctor or subspecialist.
