A confidential negotiation assisted by an independent mediator. The mediator helps the parties determine the procedure, facilitates joint and private meetings, assists with appointing the mediator and preparing the mediation agreement, organises the venue, dates and exchange of documents, and may assist with preparing a written settlement agreement. Parties must have representatives with authority to settle the dispute. Fees and other mediation expenses are normally shared equally by the parties in accordance with Sport Resolutions' Fee Schedule and Terms of Business.
