Unpaid mentorship for students or graduates passionate about information security and interested in governance, strategy, risk management, risk assessment and compliance. Participants gain working knowledge of major industry frameworks, learn how customers address regulatory, compliance and cybersecurity requirements, understand how GRC fits within a business, and translate classroom experience into practical application. The programme includes professional development events, on-the-job training and time with leaders providing ongoing training and mentoring. Minimum qualifications include good verbal and written communication, being driven and results oriented, and current enrolment in a related security degree at an Australian university. The programme runs for three months from October to December, with an estimated commitment of 2 to 3 hours per week and attendance at a Privasec office once a week as requested.
