Perform Australia is seeking a confident and strategic Studio Director to oversee all aspects of business and development at its acting school headquarters in Canberra. The role leads the strategic direction and growth of the studio, manages financial performance, oversees marketing and brand development, supervises training programs and curriculum, recruits and manages teaching and administrative staff, and provides creative oversight of theatre and film productions. The Studio Director will also work with the Operations Manager on scheduling, resources, facilities, communications and performance indicators, while representing the studio in the arts and education community. Essential experience includes leadership in a creative, educational or performing arts environment, business acumen including budgeting and growth planning, experience managing creative training programs or curriculums, strong communication and team management skills, and strong organisational and decision-making capabilities. A background in performing arts, education or creative industries, familiarity with CRMs or scheduling platforms, a passion for actor training, and an entrepreneurial mindset are desirable.
