Council holds 22 events per year for Bayside residents. Accepted materials include metals and whitegoods, electronic waste, bundled green waste, mattresses, empty LPG bottles, ink toner cartridges, X-ray films, expanded polystyrene, car tyres, motor oils, flattened cardboard, batteries, reusable clothing, fluorescent globes, plastic writing instruments, plastic plant pots, bicycles and scooters. Evidence of Bayside residency is required, and the limit is 3 cubic metres or one box trailer equivalent per household per event.
