NHS assessment and treatment for recently occurring minor eye problems, including red or irritated eyes and eyelids, dry, gritty, uncomfortable or watery eyes, recent discharge, flashes or floaters, eye pain, ingrowing eyelashes, foreign bodies in the eye, and recent or sudden changes in vision. Self-referral is available without a GP referral. Appointments are delivered by accredited optometrists. Available to people of all ages, although anyone under 16 must attend with an adult. Call the practice before travelling so the team can ask about symptoms and arrange the most appropriate appointment. Depending on symptoms, patients may be seen within 24 hours or within a few working days.
