Details.
A Certified Lymphedema Therapist performs a thorough evaluation, including medical history, discussion of the current condition, and assessment of range of motion, strength, sensation, circumferential measurements, and current compression garments. The therapist then designs a comprehensive, individualized treatment program based on the evaluation findings and personal goals. Programs may include manual lymphatic drainage, compression bandaging, a lymphedema-safe exercise program, patient education, and compression garment fitting. The service can address cancer-related, post-surgical, venous, cardiac, primary, postpartum, and pre-partum lymphedema or edema. Services are billed through insurance.
