Early orthodontic and facial orthopaedic treatment for growing children with early signs of misalignment, bite issues or jaw size discrepancy. Treatment may include fixed expanders such as Hyrax or rapid maxillary expanders, and functional appliances such as Twin Blocks and Herbst appliances. An orthodontic assessment is recommended around age 8 or 9.
