A four week evidence-based program for parents of primary school-aged children with ADHD and challenging behaviours. The program aims to inform and empower parents in a non-judgmental environment with practical strategies. Topics include understanding ADHD, structure and routines, clear and consistent boundaries, preparation for challenging times, communication skills and managing strong emotions. The group typically has 6 to 10 members and new members cannot join after the group starts. Held at 159 Derby Street, Penrith. A $25 registration payment holds a place and is deducted from the overall cost. Private health fund rebates may be applicable, and a limited number of subsidised places may be available subject to conditions.
