Join an architect-led design and build company specialising in private residential home transformations in North and East London. This role is suited to architecture-trained candidates, engineers and surveyors, combining estimating, procurement, construction logistics and architectural input. Responsibilities include preparing detailed pricing and estimates, reading drawings and establishing Bills of Quantities, identifying construction issues, developing value engineering options, assisting project managers with variations and purchasing, coordinating site logistics, negotiating with subcontractors, managing project and pricing data, and carrying out occasional cost analysis. The initial workload is approximately 70% estimating home extension and renovation projects and 30% purchasing and site logistics. The role offers experience bridging design and construction, influencing costs and procurement, and working in a small team with a mix of office-based planning and site involvement. Private residential estimating, pricing or quantity surveying experience is required. The position is PAYE, full time, 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday, with flexible common hours of 9am to 6pm. Salary is £35,000 to £40,000, with 30 days leave including Bank Holidays, loyalty or long service days, business-use contributions, a 4% employer pension contribution, and enhanced sick and compassionate leave.
