The Family Law Legal Administrative Assistant supports the founder across family law matters, including parenting disputes, financial support, property division, and complex or high-conflict files. Responsibilities include scheduling court dates, mediations, discoveries and hearings, arranging filings and applications, tracking court and limitation dates, preparing correspondence and court pleadings, assisting with court applications, trial briefs and JCC memos, assembling records and exhibits, managing files, calendars and email, monthly billing, liaising with legal professionals and clients, and general administration. Applicants should have graduated from an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant program or have relevant experience, with at least one year of family law legal assistant experience. Clio experience is preferred, along with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Divorce Mate, Adobe and BC Online, familiarity with Provincial and Supreme Court family law registries and rules, strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, confidentiality, adaptability, and the ability to manage competing priorities and strict deadlines.
