Voxel Magic is hiring an entry-level 3D Printer and CAD Specialist for a part-time, onsite role in Manhattan's Lower East Side. The position involves answering client and vendor inquiries, explaining the company's process, addressing part design and CAD file issues, generating quotes, setting up meetings, taking notes, preparing STL files, operating FDM and DMSLA printers in a production environment, making models, monitoring printer progress, removing parts, post-print cleaning and finishing, printer maintenance, and organizing materials. Applicants need advanced knowledge, with 2 or more years of experience, in Rhino, SolidWorks, or Fusion 360. Knowledge of Cura, Simplify3D, or NetFabb is a bonus. The role offers 10 to 20 hours per week over 3 to 5 days, pays $20 per hour as a 1099 freelancer, requires a minimum 3-month commitment and US work authorization, and includes a 30-minute assignment before the interview phase.
