Chambers offers up to two 12 month pupillages commencing in October 2026, comprising six months non-practising pupillage and six months practising pupillage. Pupils are expected to be available for a minimum of 40 hours per week during Chambers' core business hours of 09:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday. Responsibilities include attending court, client conferences, meetings and ADR processes with the pupil supervisor, carrying out legal research and paperwork, working for other members of Chambers where required, and attending appropriate marketing events. Candidates are assessed on academic achievement, oral and written advocacy, communication, analytical and interpersonal skills, commitment to the Bar, interest in Chambers' practice areas, focus and drive, ability to deal with difficult situations, and ability to work independently. The pupillage award for pupillage commencing in October 2026 is £80,000, paid in equal monthly instalments in arrears. Pupils receive supervision, regular feedback, mentoring, reimbursement of properly incurred expenses, and 20 days' holiday per annum excluding Bank Holidays and Chambers' closure days.
