Details.

A medical procedure in which blood is drawn and passed through an apheresis machine. Plasma is separated and removed, then replaced with purified albumin solution while blood cells are returned to the patient. The treatment is administered by board-certified physicians and certified apheresis nurses. A typical session takes 2 to 3 hours and uses two small IV insertions. A physician consultation is included before any treatment plan.
