Students studying massage therapy or nutrition will be trained in colon hydrotherapy. Certificate qualifications are offered after 3 months of working with Colon Care Centre, trading as Digestive Health Clinics. Staff receive discounted pricing through the International School of Colon Hydrotherapy, supported by the Australian Colon Hydrotherapy Association. After 2 years of working as a colon hydrotherapist with the company, nutritional consulting may become part of the traineeship and increase hourly wages. The role includes 5 days of practical training.
