Notarial services include witnessing signatures of deeds and documents for use outside the UK, authenticating documents and information in documents, certifying copies, taking affidavits, declarations and depositions for use outside the UK, powers of attorney, documents connected with foreign adoption and surrogacy, foreign property, marrying outside the UK, verifying translations, and evidence of identity. The list is not finite. A cost estimate will be provided for approval before work starts. Fixed fees are generally offered, but more complicated work or meetings of indefinite length may be charged at £200 plus VAT per hour. The minimum charge is £100 plus VAT for any one piece of work.
