DSA is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Design Engineer to lead complex structural projects from concept through to construction, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the technical excellence of the practice. Responsibilities include designing and delivering structural engineering projects involving steel, concrete, timber and masonry systems, managing project teams, liaising with clients and project stakeholders, preparing and reviewing calculations, drawings, specifications and design reports, ensuring compliance with relevant UK codes and standards, performing structural analysis and modelling, conducting design reviews, value engineering and constructability analyses, leading quality assurance and multidisciplinary coordination, and identifying opportunities for innovative and sustainable design. Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field, hands-on structural engineering experience delivering complex projects, proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds and Scale, knowledge of UK codes and standards, strong communication and presentation skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks.
