The laboratory is currently accepting graduate students. Research themes include post-mitochondrial regulation of programmed cell death in the mammalian central nervous system, EphB-mediated control of neural connectivity in the central nervous system, and development and analysis of small molecule therapeutics for programmed cell death. Investigational methods include homologous gene targeting, ex vivo central nervous system slice and primary neuronal culture, gene transduction, stereotactic and laser-based microsurgery, neural tracing, neuroanatomy and neural morphometry in rodents, molecular biology and biochemistry.
