An in-office whitening procedure that includes an initial consultation, oral health assessment, teeth cleaning, protective barriers for the gums and lips, application of hydrogen peroxide whitening gel, activation with a ZOOM! LED light, up to three gel applications, and post-treatment gel to help minimize sensitivity. The procedure typically takes about an hour and may lighten teeth by several shades in one visit. Patients with certain conditions, including pregnancy or nursing, age under 13, gum disease, dental restorations, or extreme tooth sensitivity, may not be suitable candidates.
