Treatment is individually determined using X-ray and computed tomography images together with the patient's symptoms. Surgery may include stabilisation, nerve decompression, vertebral body replacement or minimally invasive cement augmentation with kyphoplasty. Kyphoplasty is performed routinely under local anaesthesia, with general anaesthesia also possible.
