Vascular and Pigment Laser

at Hope Dermatology · Melbourne

Details.

Cutera Excel V laser treatment using 532nm and 1064nm wavelengths to target pigment and vascular lesions. It can improve sun damage, sunspots and freckles, reduce facial redness, reticular and spider leg veins, and telangiectasia, and treat benign pigmented lesions, cherry angiomas, port wine stains, rosacea and spider naevi. The 532nm wavelength is suitable for superficial vessels, vascular lesions and pigmented lesions in Fitzpatrick skin types I to IV, while the 1064nm wavelength can treat darker skin types I to VI and deeper lesions and vessels. Treatments use an inbuilt sapphire cooling tip for comfort and safety. Expected downtime and side effects vary according to the indication, skin type, sensitivity, lesion depth and size. Doctors and nurses discuss expected outcomes, downtime and potential complications. Usually 2 to 3 sessions are recommended, approximately 4 to 6 weeks apart.
