Details.
A neurostimulation treatment for stroke survivors with persistent moderate to severe hand and arm impairment after active physical therapy. The service combines surgical implantation of a VNS device with in-clinic physical therapy and magnet-activated VNS during at-home rehabilitation. The device is implanted during an outpatient procedure, with same-day discharge, followed by a one-week recovery before in-clinic therapy begins. During therapy, stimulation is paired with specific exercises and tasks to improve upper limb function. Most insurance plans cover the surgery and rehabilitation.
